Matt Shilcock is a current ensemble member with Murmuration Dance Theatre and continues to develop his independent practice with experienced professionals like Dean Walsh, Vangelis Legakis, Leigh Warren, Philip Channells and others, studying the anatomy and physics of dance and cross-applying it to his studies in holistic remedies and alchemy.
I will spend my time in HIAP on the research and development process for The Likes of Me, and subsequent works in the Eujeanix triptych. The research process will include collaborations with Kaaos and Willman dance companies in Helsinki, to design choreographic material for use in group and solo work. Possible outcomes include performing in a contemporary dance festival and developing enough material to create a full-length, tour-ready performance piece. —Matt
