CUNE Comics-in-Residence Programme artist Disa Wallander holds an ambient drawing workshop at Sarjakuvakeskus. Sign up now and let the surrounding influence and guide you through light and sound!

In the ambient drawing room you can join in the shared languages of pictures and music. There will be no talking, but a good amount of listening. Drawing and painting are physical experiences that you can share just by being in the same room and working on the same floor. Maybe your work will melt together with someone else’s, or maybe you’ll silently battle each other. You can be in your own bubble, but next to each other – like foam. You can paint anything you want, including nothing at all!

Disa Wallander (b. 1988) is a Swedish comics artist. In October Wallander participates in the CUNE Comics-in-Residence Programme, which is supported by the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme. The residency is organised by Finnish Comics Society in collaboration with HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme.
