Tokyo-based artist Eric Van Hove will give a work presentation introducing several body of recent works and site specific installations in Senegal, Japan, Iran and Egypt. He will also show a video piece (Abreaction Series) made during the Shanghai biennial in 2004.

The talk will be followed by discussions on the tactical use of public space for contemporary art practice, giving the example of a recent work Off the record, where the artist created a short-lasting tactical art platform by hi-jacking a recently installed cellphone-run locker system in Tokyo.
