July 25, Studio Emanuel

Resident artist Voldemārs Johansons opens the doors of his studio to the public. Johansons will discuss his projects and present some of the work he has been doing while in residency at HIAP. In his work, Johansons merges visuality, sound and science, working in various forms of sonic art from composition to sculpture. The new work will continue the Sonolith series, which also includes Émissions (pictured).

The open studio is followed by Peer-to-Peer Review with current HIAP residents Voldemārs Johansons and Brooke Singer. They will discuss the projects they’ve been working on and share experiences.

The artist talks and discussions will be held in English.

The events will take place at Studio Emanuel, HIAP Suomenlinna, Suomenlinna B 44 (Susisaari). Welcome!
