Tense Territories investigates concepts of personal space, control, ownership and identity. The exhibition is made up of four solo exhibitions and offers multiple views of new forms in contemporary photography.

Carrie Schneider’s (s.1979) Hang on to yourself comprises video and photography, most of which are shown for the first time in Finland. Schneider has turned the camera on herself in a psychologically charged series of photographs and video installations. In her latest works Schneider explores her relationship with her environment, in this case the Finnish landscape and nature. Her works combine narrative and staged situations in a strange, unreal atmosphere.
