Saturday 25 October, HIAP Suomenlinna

On 24–26 October, Väkevä Viapori, Suomenlinna’s village fete, offers a varied and colourful programme for all those interested in the island. HIAP will also take part with activities held on Saturday, 25 October.

You are welcome to come visit our residency artists in their studios from 12–4 pm. Participants: artist Kaisu Koivisto (Finland), comics artist Julie Delporte (Canada), artist Benjamin Forster (Australia) and photographer Issa Touma (Syria).

In Gallery Augusta there will be a free workshop for children from 5–7 pm. Children of all ages can build lightscapes together and those are then projected on the surfaces of Gallery Augusta. Pop in for a moment or stay for the whole duration! The workshop will be led by Inka Yli-Tepsa, who works as a visual artist / visual arts educator. Children under the age of 8 should be accompanied by a guardian.
