This year, the Helsinki Design Residency programme is extended to practitioners based in Russia. The residency is realised in collaboration with Strelka Institute and with the support of the Finnish Embassy in Moscow, the Finnish Consulate General in St. Petersburg and the Finnish Institute in St. Petersburg.

Researchers and practitioners who have working focuses in design, architecture, urbanism, and neighboring fields are invited to apply – particularly those with an interest in testing the significance of material and materiality between the geological and the digital as a non-stable, critical factor in the organization of human and non-human life.
