Alberto García del Castillo (b. 1988)

Alberto García del Castillo is currently based in Komplot, a curatorial collective working in Belgium and abroad, keeping a continuos program of exhibitions, editing numerous publications and hosting permanently twelve artists in residency; supporting and constructing a large upcoming contemporary art scene. Together with Sonia Dermience and David Evrard, he directs YEAR magazine, produced by Komplot since 2011. García del Castillo has lately collaborated with other art venues, such as WIELS in Brussels, NICC and Galerie Micheline Szwajcer in Antwerp, CHERT in Berlin, Enclave and X Marks the Bökship in London, The Driving School in Bristol, Atelier Concorde in Lisbon, SIC and HIAP in Helsinki or Triangle in Marseille. Deeply linked to the upcoming art scene in Brussels, he co-founded MIDPOINT, a series of night events in a tiny downtown bar that aims to build a rich collection of permanent artworks by local and international artists.
