Antti Nyyssölä

Antti Nyyssölä’s (b. 1982) work deals with painting and it´s tradition. Yet in realisation he uses a wide selection of materials ranging from collected trash to everyday items and art supplies. His works are collages placing in between a sculpture and a painting, abstract and figurative or ordinary and sublime. During his stay at the residency Nyyssölä is going to produce the works for his exhibition in Galerie Anhava.

Nyyssölä graduated from Academy of Fine arts Helsinki in 2013, and also studied in Universität der Kunste Berlin. Besides traditional art institutes he has also presented his work in alternative city spaces, and produced co-operative pieces with other artists. His recent solo exhibitions have been in Kluuvi and Sinne galleries in Helsinki and Galleri Blunk in Norway.
