Past Residents Beatriz da Costa
Beatriz da Costa (b. 1974, Germany) is an experimental media artists with a strong interest in the politics of science and environmental health. In her most recent work, da Costa focuses on the difficulties of staying alive and memories of a past that never was.
During her 2012 residency at HIAP, da Costa will be working on the pre-production stages of her new project “Nostalgia in the Postcolony”, a video and installation project, to be realized in India, this coming fall.
