Claudia Angelmaier

Claudia Angelmaier (b.72) is a Berlin based artist who’s work investigates various mediums of reproduction and distribution through visual constructions, whereby particular focus relies on the material, image and contextual situation. The protagonist of Angelmaier’s larger scale analogue photographic works are books, postcards and slides representing the absent works of art. Photographic imagery plays with the two-forms of representation thus showing both a work of art whist clarifying it’s chosen medium.

Claudia Angelmaier´s residency in November-December 2009 is organised in collaboration with Goethe Institut Helsinki.
