Damir Očko
Damir Očko (b.1977, Zagreb)
Damir Ocko studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Zagreb. He had solo exhibitions at the Kunsthalle Dusseldorf, Kunstverein Leipzig; at the Lothringer 13-Kunsthalle Munich, Miroslav Kraljevic Gallery, Zagreb; and at the Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art among others. Recent group exhibitions were at the 17<sup>th</sup> Festival for Contemporary Art_Videobrasil, Torrance Art Museum in LA, Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski in Warsaw, Le Fresnoy-National Center for Contemporary Art, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rijeka, National Centre for Contemporary Art in Moscow, Nassauischer Kunstverein, Wiesbaden, Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb, Croatia, International Triennial of Contemporary Art, National Gallery, Prague; at the Municipal Centre for Contemporary Art, Nicosia, Australian Centre for Photography in Sydney among others.
His films were screened at Württembergische Kunstverein in Stuttgart; Nuit Blanche 2010 / Point Ephemere in Paris, 4th Busan International Video Festival, Busan, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia, Madrid and at the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume, Paris.
Damir Očko was granted resident fellowships from the Akademie Schloss Solitude, and Helsinki International Artist-in Residence Programme HIAP among others.
