Gábor Döme

Gábor Döme was born in 1978 in Budapest Hungary. He finished his studies at Art History faculty at ELTE (Budapest, Hungary) in 2007. Döme has worked at Kunsthalle Budapest as curator assistant/curator, and also in independent projects. Occasionally he publishes for reviews. His main interest lies in art dealing with social issues and in art’s position in society. He considers his most important project so far the exhibition No One Belongs Here More Than You, which he curated in Kunsthalle Budapest in 2011 together with co-curator Petra Csizek. In this show they wanted to focus on the phenomena of the collective in art world, its problems, importance, function and relation to institutional network. Presenting artist groups they created a discursive situation in the space.
