Past Residents Hubert Czerepok
Polish artist Hubert Czerepok (b.1973), graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland and currently lives and works in Warsaw. His work incorporates various media, from video, through drawings, found footage films, installations, multimedia projects, to public-space actions. His recent shows include Séance at the Koraalberg Gallery, Antwerp; Did we land on the Moon? at the Arsenal Gallery, Bialystok and Fuckin‘ Hell at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw.
Hubert Czerepok´s residency at HIAP is organized within the ongoing exchange programme with CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw and FRAME Finnish Fund for Art Exchange and is supported by the Embassy of the Rebublic of Poland in Helsinki and Polish National Center of Culture.
X Files – An Excerpt
The project ‘X Files – an excerpt’ at HIAP Project Room displays a fraction of an archive of numerous documentary films, amateur footages and unauthorized recordings of phenomenon such as UFOs, ghosts, halos and Virgin Mary apparitions. The archive has been built up for three years now and is comprised of downloaded visual materials dealing with aspects of conspiracy in a broad sense.
