Nerea Ubieto
Nerea Ubieto (Zaragoza, 1984) lives and works in Madrid, Spain. She has a degree in Art History from the University of Zaragoza. She completed her educational training through the Institute for Critical Studies of Mexico, graduating in Curatorial Management and Art Criticism. She has just been awarded with the First International CPR Award Exhibition selected by the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija. During 2016 she has curated a major exhibition in Tabacalera Madrid entitled “Keep calm and carry on” which has received excellent critics and is going to be travelling internationally in 2017. For the last half year she is being travelling around Latin-America (Nicaragua, México, EL Salvador) curating “The ship of Theseus” thanks to AECID subsidies grant. She was recently selected as a curator for international residency Curatorial Program of Research in Estonia and Finland and was invited to participate in the publication of Visiona festival in Huesca with an essay on autobiographical artistic practices. She is currently collaborating with the RTVE –Spanish Television- curating some episodes for the cultural programs Metropolis.
