Rebeca Méndez

Rebeca Méndez (b. 1962) is a designer, artist and professor at UCLA, Design Media Arts. Her artwork explores technologically mediated nature and has been exhibited at ARCO Madrid 2010; XBiennial, Cuenca, Ecuador; Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Museum of Contemporary Art, Oaxaca (MACO); and Beall Center for Art+Technology among others. Méndez lectures widely, including a TED talk in 2011, and is recipient of the California Community Foundation Mid Career Fellowship for Visual Artists, 2010.
