Sari Palosaari

Visual artist Sari Palosaari works within various media producing installations, architectural settings, sculptures and video works. The basis of her recent work lies in exploring the social and aesthetic values projected onto built environment. To highlight her topic of interests she introduces ambiguities in distance, scale and the virtual and the tangible experience. Often the viewer is involved in the work as physical and conscious definer.

At the moment Palosaari is finishing the MA degree in Sculpture at the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts. Her recent installation Passage and Bare Glass was seen in Kunsthalle Studio (2012). Recent festivals include the competition series of Helsinki Short Film Festival and Nordic Panorama Festival (2012) and the group exhibition of 26th Stuttgart Filmwinter (2013).
