Shaw Xu Zhifeng (b.1983)
Xu Zhifeng aka Shaw studied architecture at the Fine Art College of Shanghai University between 2003 –2008. Since this time, Shaw has moved on to explore the theoretical and social experience of architecture through a series of performance pieces and art exhibitions that intervene with urban spaces, and challenge the observers experience of the built environment.
In Finland Shaw is participating to a group exhibition Time of Dragon – Contemporary Art from China at Rauma Art Museum. The exhibition is result of a curators residency in Shanghai awarded by HIAP to Rauma Art Museum’s curator Henna Paunu in 2011. In the exhibition Shaw presents an installationLook, Through ME 3D. The artwork is based on a walk through the city and its landscape.
