Tino Sehgal Exhibition Project
With a background in political economics and dance, Tino Sehgal‘s work consists of live encounters between the artwork and viewer. Rather than making objects, Sehgal creates “constructed situations” within the museum space in which interpreters enact choreographed actions. Sehgal has achieved international renown for his work presented at the Venice Biennale, the Documenta in Kassel, in the Guggenheim in New York and Tate Modern in London.
The exhibition will take place from 15 August – 27 September in Kiasma. This is the first solo show of Tino Sehgal’s work in Finland. The show is a collaboration between Kiasma and Helsinki Festival.
In co-operation with Helsinki Festival, Federal Foreign Office Germany, Goethe-Institut Finnland and HIAP.
