I developed 2 video works during the HIAP residency period.
The first one “Morning-Helsinki” is a single screen video work.This video recorded the activities of animals in the cemetery area of Helsinki at dawn.
The second one “Suomenlinna” is a two screen video installation. I shot the video on Suomenlinna island. Documentary and performance materials were combined in the video work. One screen shows scenes leading up to sunrise on the island, the other screen shows scenes form sunset to dark.
The same scene appears simultanously under different light on the two screens.
